The Second Annual Frederick Robie Cup Spelling Bee – October 23rd, 2010

Here’s the buzz on the BEE…….

We are very excited to be in the midst of planning for our second annual spelling bee. This event was an absolute blast last year, and raised almost $6,000 for GEF!  We want to keep the momentum for this event going, and we’d love for you and your friends, co-workers, or neighbors to be a part of it!   We have spent a great deal of time thinking about last year’s launch of this event, and what we can do to make this year even better for bee participants and audience members.  We hope that you will join us by putting together a team (three people) to participate in the event, buying tickets so that you can come to the event to support your favorite team(s), or by donating an item to our silent auction. 

The bee will be held on Saturday, October 23rd at the Old Robie School ( the big white building right after the entrance to Little Falls Rec. area).  Check in and refreshments will begin at 6:30, with the bee starting promptly at 7:00.  Team members are encouraged to come with a great sense of fun, and wearing their most creative team “uniform”.

Tickets for audience members can be obtained from GEF (call us at 222-1009, or shoot us an email at gorhamef.org), and at various locations around Gorham TBD.  The price for tickets is $10, and the price for entering a team is $150.
