Nellie Mae Education Foundation Seeking Videos
The Nellie Mae Foundation Request for Videos (RFV) invites schools and organizations to help young people creatively share their insights on how they learn. The Video Challenge is open to public middle and high schools and other education organizations in New England. Organizations submitting the top videos will receive a grant award. Submit videos by May 14, 2010
Fostering Children’s Literacy / Funds for School Libraries
The Snapdragon Book Foundationfosters children’s literacy by providing grants to school libraries throughout the U.S. serving disadvantaged youth. The Foundation hopes to make sure that school libraries are still offering children good books to read. Last year grants ranged from $500 to $2,000; however, this year the Foundation anticipates having greater funds to disburse and encourages all K-12 private, public, charter, and experimental schools to apply. Apply by April 30, 2010.
